Annual CPR Training
As part of our commitment to our patients we ensure that all of our staff get the training needed.
On Thursday 29th January we closed the practice for the morning and invited the North East Ambulance Service along to give the staff their annual CPR training.
The staff have done this many times before and have the necessary knowledge to give emergency first aid, but it is always worth refreshing yourself as incidents very rarely occur. Long may it remain that way in my opinion!
However what this refresher course does do is give us all confidence in the skills we have developed over the years and it’s important to know that there has been no new developments in techniques and treatments.
So what did we actually learn? Well I won’t bore you too much on that but we do know our DR ABC’s from our Dr Zeus’. We can confidently treat patients who develop respiratory or circulatory problems, as well as those who suffer from epilepsy, asthma or are allergic to something and might suffer an anaphylactic shock.
Our thanks go out to the North East Ambulance Service and our trainer who was fantastic. He mad the morning an enjoyable learning experience for all, giving us that boost in confidence we need from year to year. The staff had a great morning and if you own a business or are an individual looking for a first aid/CPR course then look no further than them, they provide a first class service.
Hopefully you will never need our assistance because you are feeling unwell. But feel confident that if you are feeling unwell we will do everything we can to make you feel better and provide you with the care you need.
If you have any further questions regarding our training then please feel free to contact me.
