Our Team Take on The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge
Saturday 17th September 2016 is the day our intrepid team of dentists, nurses and receptionists embark on this years’ Charity Challenge to scale the Yorkshire 3 Peaks in aid of Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the tallest peaks of Yorkshire; Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. That’s a whopping 24 miles and all of this is completed in under 12 hours, including 5200ft of ascent!
This is a long and demanding walk, but it’s all for an fantastic cause. The charity, Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care, provides a free transport service to and from the Freeman/RVI Hospitals for outpatients undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy treatment – some from as far afield as the Scottish Borders, North Yorkshire and West Cumbria.
If you wish to donate to this worthy cause, and make the blisters worthwhile, please see our giving page http://uk.virginmoneygiving.
