Charity Bike Ride 2015 – Leeds to Harrogate for St Oswald’s Hospice
Update 24th September:
Andrew, Ian, John & Ken completed the bike ride yesterday in 12 hours.
They set off at 6am & completed just before 6pm. Conditions were cold & windy. Completed almost without incident – there was a 2 rider collision so there are some tender parts but all dentists back in surgery at 8.30am today!!
The practice were selling coffee & cake on the day and, with a tombola and generous donations from our patients, raised £185 on the day alone. Our total currently stands at £1100.
We are still welcoming any donations, money or charity bags, for the next couple of weeks.
Dentists John Wykes, Ian Davidson & Andrew Dixon have again set themselves a challenge to raise funds for St Oswald’s Hospice. They are cycling Stage 1 of the Tour de France 2014 in one day, from Leeds to Harrogate, a distance of approximately 200km on September 19th 2015.
If you would like to make a donation to spur the guys along and raise money for this worthy cause in our community, please visit their just giving page; www.justgiving.com/WDP-do-TDF/
Alternatively we are collecting bags of unwanted clothing, shoes, toys, etc which will count towards our total raised. Feel free to bring in your bags to the collection point in our reception area.
