We’re Recruiting – Part Time Associate Dentist

Whickham Dental Practice “The home of calm and gentle dentistry” is recruiting for a part time Associate Dentist.

We have been established for over 50 years, with many of our patients being with us from day one.  We provide a welcome environment for NHS and private patients, with the majority of our business being private and DPAS plan patients. We pride ourselves on our “calm and gentle” dental care and offer a wide range of treatment choices.

We are looking to recruit a dentist preferably with a minimum of 4- 5 years post qualification experience, an additional qualification such as MJDF and a desire to advance their knowledge in either periodontics, sedation or oral surgery.   The candidate would be replacing a colleague who is retiring after 36 years at the practice, and we would like to find someone equally as loyal, who can not only live up to our patients expectations but is also wishing to consolidate and develop their career for the long term in the right practice.  The right candidate would have exceptional knowledge, excellent communication and time management skills, be an efficient worker, and team player.

The position is primarily part time (2-3 days / week) with the potential for full time in the future. Start date is negotiable but no later than 31st March 2020.

Our surgeries are well maintained with modern equipment, including: rotary endodontics, digital intra oral radiography, digital OPG / CBCT, 2 x trios 3 shape i.o scanners. We enjoy excellent staff retention and promote personal development, with many dental nurses having additional qualifications such as fluoride varnish application / sedation / orthodontics / radiography / OH educator / implant trained. We have a patient / treatment co-ordinator, and visiting practitioners providing orthodontics (including invisalign) and root canal treatment.  In addition to routine dentistry, we also accept referrals for endodontics, implant cases, orthodontics and offer our younger patients access to fluoride varnish clinics.  We have a very exciting new addition of a facial aesthetics service, which is currently being developed. We are CQC compliant and have been a BDA good practice member for over 15 years.  We are open Monday to Friday with 2 late nights a week, but also provide weekend emergency cover to our private patients.
